1.6.19. Rechargeable battery

At normal operation the accumulator almost does not demand maintenance. However at the high surrounding temperature or the long, daily movement it is recommended to check electrolyte level from time to time. After each charging also check electrolyte level.
The condition of the accumulator is checked also within inspection maintenance. After 5 years of operation it is recommended to replace the accumulator.

Shutdown of the accumulator
As a result of a detachment of the accumulator some functions of the car are turned off (for example, power windows). These functions need to be programmed again after connection of the accumulator. Therefore disconnect the accumulator from onboard network only in exceptional cases.

Long idle time of the car
If the car is not operated a long time, the category of the accumulator consumers of current of rest takes place (for example, anticreeping blocking). Therefore it is necessary to charge the accumulator from time to time or to disconnect minus an accumulator cable.

Operation in winter conditions
In the winter load of the accumulator is especially big. Besides, at low temperatures its starting power makes only a part from realized at a normal temperature.
Therefore it is recommended to check before a winter season and in case of need to recharge the accumulator.

NOTE
If in hard frosts the car is not operated within several weeks, then it is better to remove and place the accumulator in storage to the heated room for the purpose of prevention of its freezing and destruction.
