4.2.8. Check of pressure in the DRC II system

NOTE
At the first commissioning of the measuring device it is always necessary to delete air.
If the measuring device shows residual pressure over 0,5 bars (for example, at the previous measurement), then air does not need to be deleted.

Fig. 4.42. Installation of the manometer

To remove air from the b manometer and a piece of the line, it is necessary to install the special tool, as shown in the figure 4.42.

NOTE
In the drawing process of removal of air by pumping of hydraulic oil by means of the manual vacuum pump is shown
You carry out removal of air until in a hose With there is no vial of air left.

Disconnect a hose of C and D and check pressure in system.
Pressure in system is checked on the forward shock-absorber of the respective DRC line.

NOTE
For connection and shutdown of the measuring device the checked line has to be blocked on the central valve as much as possible to reduce leak of oil and not to empty the central valve which is under pressure.

Remove a wheel.

Fig. 4.43. Removal of a cover

Remove a plastic cover of 1 (fig. 4.43).

Fig. 4.44. Installation of the locking screw

Weaken a lock-nut of 1 checked line, strongly twist the locking screw 2 against the stop and again you zakontrit a nut of 1 (fig. 4.44).

Fig. 4.45. Connection of the measuring device

Turn off a dustproof cap and attach the measuring device (fig. 4.45).
Weaken a lock-nut of 1 checked line, strongly twirl the locking screw 2 against the stop and again you zakontrit a nut of 1 (fig. 4.44).
Look at the indication of pressure in system on the measuring device (fig. 4.45).

NOTE
Increase in pressure on the measuring device happens slowly and about 2 min. last. Pressure in the DRC system is read out only when the arrow finally calms down.

Weaken a lock-nut of 1 checked line, strongly twist the locking screw 2 against the stop and again you zakontrit a nut of 1 (fig. 4.44).
Disconnect the measuring device and wind a dustproof cap (fig. 4.45).
Weaken a lock-nut of 1 checked line, strongly twirl the locking screw 2 against the stop and again you zakontrit a nut of 1 (fig. 4.44).

NOTE
The small leak of oil from connections happening at an accession / detachment of the measuring device is not critical. It is necessary to avoid repeated measurements since at each connection the system is left by a little oil. At the subsequent connection it leads to pressure decrease approximately on 0,3 bars in comparison with the previous measurement. Thus a large number of measurements reduces pressure in system to minimum below up to a system exit out of operation.

If pressure is normal, define a malfunction and repair system.
Establish a plastic cover of 1 (fig. 4.43).

Values of pressure in the DRC system
Values of pressure at a relative temperature of 20 °C:
– 16 bars = maximum dvleniye;
– 15 bars – 16 bars = the new or not used central valve;
– 12 bars – 15 bars = the normal working range, system are normal;
– 12 bars = leakage or insufficient filling of system, inclusion of air in system, malfunction of the central valve.
